We would like to congratulate our country Uganda on celebrating 50 years of Independence. Uganda’s flag was raised for the first time on 9th October 1962 by Rtd. Maj. Kanuti heralding the end of colonial rule. As a nation we have grown both economically and politically. We hope that we shall continue to improve on all fronts, both in the public and private sector, and that our development will be steady and strong.
We would also like to express our happiness towards Stephen Kiprotich for making this celebration memorable by scooping a gold medal at the 2012 London Olypmics. He has indeed raised our flag high!
