Staff Alumni

Interface Consulting Ltd is a company that focuses on employee improvement and growth. We encourage individual excellence and support this through providing a comfortable learning and interactive environment.

Some of our set values are fostering team spirit and encouraging pro-active behaviour rather than reactive decision-making. That is why those that have served with us, have been able to advance in their careers and proved excellent at their stations.

Lydia-AsiimweLydia Asiimwe

Lydia served at Interface Consulting from 2007 to 2010. She holds experience as a Human Resource Practitioner and is qualified with a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and Bachelor of Urban Planning.

Some of her project responsibilities while at Interface included:

  • Office Manager
  • Co-ordinator for (MoLG) Local Government Town Councils for the development of Urban Structure Plans for six towns in South West Uganda

Lydia is currently working with DFID/British High Commission – Kampala. This is what she has to say about her time at Interface:

“Interface Consulting Ltd felt more of a family than a structure work place. We cared for each other. I learned a lot from Interface including making financial forecasts and accountability. I also learned to pay attention to detail especially in written communications. Interface gave me an opportunity to shine!”

Louise Kiddu served at Interface Consulting from July 2014 to July 2015 as the Office Operations and Humans Resources Assistant where she was actively involved in managerial duties and research projects assigned to her. She holds a Master’s Degree of Science in International Human Resources Management, Glasgow Caledonian University and a Bachelor’s in Social Work and Social Administration, Uganda Christian University

Listed below are some of the duties Louise performed and actively participated in whilst working at Interface:

  • Human resource development which involved supervision and guidance of part time employees. Participation in interview and selection processes and prepared contracts.
  • Project administration included providing support through co-ordination and logistics for teams involved in fieldwork. Organizing selected interviews required for fieldwork and participated in collection of data as a research assistant analyst. Analyzing documents for submission in favor of projects
  • Office management of office budgets, supervision of office operations such as renovations, cleaning and gardening.

Louise is currently working with Simba Telecom Uganda as the Human Resource Officer. On her experience at Interface, this is what she had to say:

“Interface offered me a professionally in-depth experience through exposure. I had the privilege of working within different scopes out of my occupation which identified many strengths and weak points that I have not recognized from my work history. I am grateful to the Managing Director for believing in me, supporting and nurturing my career. The Interface team grew beyond professional relationships, loyal bonds were created. Interface instilled a passion towards consultancy and as I embark on a professional path, I have a strong consideration towards consulting. Thank you Interface ”

Marian-Sanyu-KadduMarian Sanyu Kaddu

A seasoned Financial Accountant who served at Interface between 2009 to 2011. She holds a degree in Bachelor of Commerce- Accounting and is an affiliate of ACCA. She currently works at Bank of Uganda.

While at Interface Marian co-ordinated these projects:

  • Implementation of the  Resettlement Action Plan (KCCA-KIIDP)
  • The Fiduciary Risk Assessment, Water and Sanitation sector
  • Design and construction supervision of Mbale and Tororo Central Markets

From Interface Consulting I grew my confidence and potential. I learned to appreciate to continuously create a brand that stands out in a positively, unique way (regardless of the capacity) through the numerous opportunities and challenges I was exposed to in finance and project administration. All this was under very respectful, exemplary, inspiring; leadership, mentorship and teamwork.”

Emma-LauraEmma Laura Namwanje

Emma holds a bachelor of Arts in Arts specialising in Communications and French. She served at Interface in 2010 and is currently at Ultimate Multimedia Consult (U) Ltd.

While at Interface Consulting, she worked as Project Manager and Office Manager. She has fond memories of the place.

“Interface is a place that challenges anybody to continually grow and become better. There is no staying average- the standard is always excellence and the bar keeps rising. Whatever you are doing, whether small or big, do it with excellence. I have continued this standard in my life and the results are tremendous.”

Juliet Stella MutesiJuliet Mutesi

Juliet joined Interface in September 2011 as the Financial Accountant at Interface. Besides her accounting and financial roles, she was also responsible for the management of office operations, and was actively involved in the Kampala Institutional and Infrastructure Development Programme (KIIDP) and Markets and Agriculture Trade Improvement Programme (MATIP) projects. She displayed skills in financial project management, record keeping and the auditing process.

Before joining Interface she trained at National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC). Juliet has a Bachelor of Commerce, Makerere University (2011) and is pursuing her ACCA.

Her thoughts on the time spent at Interface: “I feel very fortunate to have been associated with Interface. My experiences and training have been invaluable. Thank you for the opportunities for growth that you have provided me.”

Anita-KidduAnita Kiddu Muhanguzi

Mrs. Anita Kiddu Muhanguzi served at Interface Consulting from January 2009 to June 2009. She is a practicing Advocate and she holds Bachelors degree in Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Some of her project responsibilities while at interface included:

  • Officer manager
  • Co-ordination for the different projects
  • Drafting contracts
  • Analyzing documents for submission in favor of projects

Anita is currently working with Centre for Batwa Minorities as the Head of Legal and Advocacy.

“I learnt a lot from the Managing Director. He was more of a friend than a boss and this built my confidence, he always encouraged me to spread my wings. I am very grateful for the opportunity I was given to be part of the interface consulting family.”

Musa-BatwalaMusa Batwala

Musa joined Interface Consulting Ltd in July 2008, immediately after completing his degree in Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) at Makerere University where he majored in Records Management. Together with Fredrick Lugya, they worked on the Company’s Resource Centre, archiving and organising its important documents and reports.

Besides the degree, Musa also holds a certificate in Modern Library Practice which he obtained from October to December 2011, at National Technical Teachers Training and Research-Chennai in India.

The experience he gained at Interface provided the leverage he needed to obtain a job in Soroti as a Librarian and consequently the United Nations, where he is currently stationed.

Musa works as the Information Management Assistant at the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) based in Kabul. He credits Interface Consulting for the encouragement provided.

“The Managing Director at Interface strongly encouraged me to be focused, and the experience I gained there acted as an eye-opener to my capabilities as well as laid a foundation for the different ventures I have undertaken.”

Fredrick LugyaFredrick Lugya

Fredrick served at Interface from July to December, 2008 as a National Consultant. He refurbished Interface Consulting’s Information and Records Center, re-organised the center and introduced a new records filing system, which included:- Project documents, Reports and Maps.

He holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Fredrick has enrolled for a PhD in Library and Information Science at the same University.

Currently, he works with Makerere University as National E-Resources Coordinator; as well the Founder and CEO Chip Computing and Consult.

“I was inspired by the hard work and motivation among the Interface staff, and upon completion of my assignment, I become a private entrepreneur by opening up a private consultancy firm called Chip Computing and Consult.”
