Birthing Mbale Market

 

The Market and Agricultural Trade Improvement Programme (MATIP) is a project whose primary goal is to provide better market facilities and boost trading conditions, both on rural level of transaction, as well as urban and regional wholesale agricultural trade.

It’s inception started on 24th June 2010, and actual construction on the 3rd of October, 2011 and is expected to be completed two years later, on 3rd October, 2013. The budget is estimated to be US $ 11,266,327 funded by African Development Bank (AfDB). Below are some of the pictures highlighting the progress of the project.
