CU@School was a post evaluation project that aimed at monitoring and reporting the attendance of both children and teachers in 100 primary schools in three districts of Uganda.
Results from this study informed key decision makers in the education sector in Uganda on the practicality of the approach, any cost efficiencies achieved, and the feasibility of scaling up the use of GSM and GPRS technology in tracking teacher and pupil school attendance.
Our partners were the Makerere University College of Computing and Information Science; the Ministry of Education and Sports along with district Local Government. Below is a snapshot of children where the project took place.
