Summary:

The Managing Director of Interface Consulting is part of a consulting team constituted by GFA Consulting Group GmbH (Hamburg, Germany) and contracted by GIZ to provide advisory services on the project; “Capacity Development in the Urban Water and Sanitation sector” in Uganda. The work is part of the wider RUWASS programme and is jointly supervised by the Ministry of Water and Environment and National Water and Sewerage Corporation. Primary focus is on: “Enhancing performance and competencies of institutions and technical personnel in the water sector – particularly with regard to Operation and Maintenance of urban water and sanitation systems”. Expected outputs in terms of providing support to MWE and NWSC include;

1. Advisory Services at policy level on operationalising the Sector Capacity Development Strategy
2. Training Development and Implementation to help reform and strengthen practical-oriented vocational skills development and advanced training, with emphasis on operation and maintenance
3. Strengthening Infrastructure Asset Management in order to improve operation and maintenance at the strategic/policy level
