Summary:

In 2013 , and 2014, INTERFACE Consulting ( under sub-consultancy contract with ARTELIA- France), carried out the social screening exercise for Buliisa project facilities on behalf of Total E& P Uganda.

The overall Project objective was to review the extent and complexity of the potential project social impacts and risks associated with the choice of location of project facilities, including a Central Processing Facility, well pads and pipe networks in Buliisa and Nwoya area. Regional social impacts and risks as well as potential safeguards and compliance issues were identified and assessed against Total E& P requirements and IFC Performance Standards. Scope included literature reviews, fieldwork in the project area and stakeholder consultation.
