Development of Urban Structure Plans in South Western Uganda

Summary:
The purpose of this assignment was to develop urban structure and detailed plans for six towns in south western Uganda. The multidisciplinary project brought together consultant socio-economists, traffic engineers, land economists, physical planners, land surveyors and a communications specialist to design implementable structure plans and four square km detailed plans to guide urban infrastructure development of Kisoro, Kabale, Kanungu, Kihihi , Ntungamo and Wakiso towns. Interface was responsible for overall project management, report writing—inception, draft and the drafting of the final 10 year structure plans for the six towns.
